Centoform has valorised what produced through Result n.1 and 2 of the DIGMAN project with the framework of the IFTS Course “Mechanical Designer”, (EQF 4), annually approved and funded by the Emilia Romagna Region through the ESF. That course at testing and further exploitation environment of the project’s outputs was identified and specified since the preparation of the application form to be submitted.

The IFTS course for Mechanical designer is one of the most successful HIGHER VET courses in the Regional, as regards to the employment rate (over then the 97%) within the following 6 months after the delivery. According to the IFTS national standards, the course for mechanical Designer has the following structure:

IFTS course, secondary level course in Mechanical Design; EQF IV - Training Title: TECHNICAL SUPERIOR SPECIALIZATION CERTIFICATE

   · An annual 800 hour - course (480 theory and lab; 20 project work; 300 training);

   · 40 hours per week; 70% attendance required for entrance to the final exam.

Main subjects of the course:

   · Read and understand mechanical drawings (symbols, dimensional models, measurements, etc);

   · Knowledge of materials used and their performance reaction;

   · Ability to conceive mechanical design;

   · Ability to realise project (from the idea to the final product);

   · Respect Quality and Safety Standards;

   · Realise prototypes, Reverse Engineering, 3D printing.

The intellectual outputs n. 1 and 2 have be tested by the teachers with students during the deployment of the curriculum, in the last part of the training, since the exercise have been considered of very high quality but very complex for EQF IV students and teachers needed to simplify somehow the set of exercise adopted from the project. This approach will be further carried out during the next annual IFTS courses, to capitalize what produced.
